Born and bred in Benwell, Newcastle upon Tyne a long time ago, I started making 8mm films while at school.
See my YouTube channel to view these (www.youtube.com/channel/UCxPpXDhwZ5p72G7qLPfbxnA).
I started with photography at about the same time using a Soviet Zenit SLR. Later I progressed to one of the first Canon AE-1s and have used a twin lens reflex (TLR) Yashicamat for 6x6 slides as well. While at university in London I did street photography as well as landscapes and carried home to Newcastle lots of rolls of film to be processed in the holidays. Some of the images I have processed are on this site.

Digitally I have always used Canon and my current kit is:
Canon 5D Mark IV
Canon 550D
Canon EF16-35mm f2.8L
Canon EF24-105mm f/4L
Canon EF70-200mm f/4L
Canon EF-S 10-18mm f/4.5-5.6
Tripods by Manfrotto and Rollei
Lee filters
Lowepro camera bag

Now that I am retired I can concentrate on landscape photography here in Scotland where I have lived for over 25 years.  I hope you enjoy looking at the pictures in the gallery.

I have also galleries covering images taken by my partner Ann and I from some of our favourite places which I have converted into black and white (I still love BW from my old processing days).

Check back as these images will be refreshed from time to time and new galleries added.
